Social Adversity and Functioning preluding Psychosis (SAFE-P)

Many people who experience psychosis retrospectively report stressful life events and social difficulties before illness-onset. In order to better understand this, we are currently conducting an interview study with those affected and are looking for people who would like to take part in the study. We would like to find out how the phase of life (especially social functioning) before the psychotic episode was experienced and which earlier stressful life experiences may have been significant from the affected person's point of view. We interview people who have been diagnosed with a psychotic disorder (e.g. schizophrenia) for the first time in the last 5 years or who have received treatment for the first time for this reason. We need the help of participants so that we can obtain first-hand information about how those affected perceived the time before the psychotic episode. If you have any questions or would like to participate, please contact us by email.

For your participation you receive a voucher worth 25 Euros. In addition, we will happily reimburse your travel costs if you come to Bochum for the interview.
